What I've learnt about God:
God's law is not something that is constricting or confining, it's something we can delight in. His word allows us to prosper in all things. There's some real encouragament that can be drawn from this psalm about God's character, He knows the way of the righteous and He won't let the wicked go unpunished. That's also I guess cautionary, to make sure we are not the wicked who cannot stand in the congregation of the righteous.
What I've learnt about me:
I'm all too bad at meditating on God's law day and night. I really like the metaphor of the tree, if God's word is the stream we're planted by then the tree lives by that and so we should live by God's word. It's what allows us to grow and produce fruit. While that's a head truth for me, I really need it to become a heart truth.
