What I've learnt about God:
He will give us salvation and good things. He will give us righteousness.
What I've learnt about me:
I think one of the key messages of this psalm is that we shouldn't look at what the world is doing. It's not helpful for us to be looking and lusting after all those things people are doing. If we are sat thinking to ourselves that their way is better then what will be striving after? Worldly things not godly things. Fix your eyes on God and things will run smoother because He gives us those good things.
Verse of the day: Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
This isn't saying that if we delight in God and are wishing for a bike we'll get given a bike, don't be silly. But the more we delight in the Lord the more our hearts will be turned to what He wants, and what He thinks in good and godly and of course He will delight in giving us those things.
