What I've learnt about God:
Even when things seem really bad it doesn't mean that God isn't listening. He is hearing us crying both literally and also crying out to Him. His inaction does not mean that He is not hearing us, and it definitely does not mean that he doesn't care.
What I've learnt about me:
When I'm in a bad place it is hard for me to remember that even people like David had these times when they felt so sad and alone, it's comforting that just as God helped them and heard them, so too will He help me and hear me.
