What I've learnt about God:
He's not asking us to do unreasonable things. Look at all the things John tells people to do - all of them seem fair and reasonable, in fact they make a lot of sense. The world often twists the message of God saying that the rules are stupid and unfair, but God isn't like that and this is a great reminder of it.
What I've learnt about me:
Okay, so I know that I've got the Holy Spirit inside me, but I loved the image of being baptised in the Holy Spirit. The whole imagery of baptism is of stepping into a new way of life, and in gaining the Holy Spirit we gain the wherewithal to do that. It's a great gift from God to help us live life for Him and we should be grateful for it every day.
