What I've learnt about God:
God gives good things. It's such a simple statement but one that is easy to forget and gloss over, but God really does give not only good things but He gives better things than the world offers. He also gives us safety and relief which the world will never satisfy, and He, who created everything allows us to speak to Him and He listens. Which, when you think about it, I mean really think about it, is a pretty amazing truth!
What I've learn about me:
I guess this whole psalm reminds me about my Christian walk, for so long I loved vain words and sought after lies (as in verse 2) and it was only when I realised that God bought me more joy then going out and getting drunk (verse 7) that I started to feel relief rather than distress (verse 1).
Verse of the day:
Psalm 3: 7 "You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound"
Don't try and fool yourself that the world is offering better things, God will give you more joy than anything the world is offering you.
