What I've learnt about God:
God's words when twisted make it seem like He's being unfair, but He's not. When we disobey Him, acting as though He was the one in the wrong by denying us something just won't cut it, everything He does is for our benefit and if we choose to disobey that then we shouldn't be surprised that the outcome is worse than if we'd followed what He wanted.
What I've learnt about me:
Often even when I know the right thing to do I find myself trying to reason with myself to make the thing I want to do seem to be the better "more godly" thing to do. I need to accept that actually the right thing is the right thing, the wrong thing is the wrong thing and that's that.
