What I've learnt about God:
We can see His promises having been fulfilled today. Look at what He promises in verses 14-17, we can already see that being fulfilled. This can give us confidence in other promises God has made.
What I've learnt about me:
When arguing I need to look and see a solution which suits both parties rather than just looking out for myself.
