What I've learnt about God:
He turns our affliction into fruitfulness. He makes our suffering become blessings.
What I've learnt about me:
We often find it hard to strike a balance between planning for the future and making sure we're not caught up in our plans rather than God's plans. I think this passage clearly shows that being prepared for the future isn't a bad thing, as long as we're doing it for God not us.
