What I've learnt about God:
Even when people have deserted Him, He will still punish those who hurt them because He loves even those who have fallen away.
What I've learnt about me:
All too often I ignore sin and try and diminish it, pretending it doesn't have any grip on my life so the image of sin crouching at the door and desiring me is something that really struck home. I need to see sin as more of a threat and try and rule over it much more rather than idly letting it slip into my life.
